This week, we celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week with Lutheran schools across the nation! Below are some of the activities that we will be participating in this week:

Sunday – the student body will sing “We Are Immanuel” in both church services. This song was written by Kris Lacefield’s father, Norman Albers, and has become quite a tradition at ILS!

Monday – students will be writing Thank You letters to members of the congregation, thanking them for their continued support of the school over the past 150 years!
Tuesday – we have the Jump Rope for Heart assembly, where all ILS students will be participating in healthy heart activities and jumping rope in the gymnasium from 1:45 to 3:00 pm.
Wednesday – Grandparents Day is scheduled from 8:00 to 11:30 am! We hope to have all students have a special grandparent or grandperson join us for chapel, classroom activities, and an all-school presentation!
Thursday – At 10:30 am, join us on the parking lot as the entire student body participates in a Balloon Launch! Over 250 red and white balloons will be released into the sky with a message from our school!
Friday – Students and staff will have a special Pizza Day for lunch and play board games during the afternoon as we transform the school into Paris for our dinner auction!
Saturday – our week of celebration concludes with our biggest fundraiser of the year for the school, the “Springtime in Paris” dinner auction.
We appreciate your continued support through prayers, service, and gifts to our school!
