Prepare for the Fair

With a float decorated by flowers, children, and cheerleaders and bearing the the theme "Right where U need 2 B 2 Grow in Christ", Immanuel gave witness to thousands along the parade route at the kickoff event for this years Washington Town and Country Fair.

 

Moderate temperatures and clear skies were a blessing for all the volunteers preparing the float in the morning and walking the long parade route with more than 130 floats from the City Park to Main Street via High Street and then 5th Street and north on Jefferson. Our float was staged in the starting position at 3:00 PM and finally ended the parade route at 7:00 PM.

 

Small 'pixie stix' were taped to mini brochures inviting parade participants to try Immanuel's Church and School. Voluteers from Immanuel and Pastor Mark walked the route passing out candy and the brochures. The cheerleaders of Immanuel followed the float and provided a positive dance beat to the uniquely Christian music.
