This week was the culminating moment in all of history. On Palm Sunday Jesus rides into Jerusalem as a king. On Thursday He will give the Lord's Supper and be betrayed. On Friday He will die a horrific death. On Sunday He will rise from the dead. All of it for you.

Wednesdays in Lent are times for reflection that leads to repentance. These Wednesdays lead to Holy Week and the culminating events in all of history.
Worship opportunities are each Wednesday at noon and at 6:15 pm for families. The Lenten theme is following the 10 Commandments (in reverse order) each Wednesday. Easter Sunday will focus on the First Commandment.
There is a Lenten Dinner each Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 pm. This Wednesday's dinner, 3/29, is sub sandwiches with sides.
Immanuel Lutheran is sponsoring the new Luther movie, "Martin Luther: The Idea that Changed the World" at Washington's theater, Cinema One Plus. The movie will show only once on Monday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance online or in Immanuel's church office. The online link is:
Tickets are $10 which includes a $1 handling fee. A special feature is that after the movie, Rev. Dr. Erik Herrmann from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, will offer a 30 minute Q & A at the theater. Dr. Herrmann was an on site advisor to the documentary. We anticipate the movie to sell out.
Don Wharton has been a poplular guest at Immanuel's Concert and Speaker Series in recent years. His music, story telling, humor and expression of faith are heart warming and encouraging.
This is a family concert. Don will engage the entire audience and all will enjoy the evening.

Immanuel begins its 2017 Concert and Speaker Series with an evening of beautiful music by Franz Schubert. "Winterreise" will be performed by the voice faculty from Southeast Missouri State and accompanied by acclaimed pianist, Jennifer Judd.
The music will be accompanied by visual presentation on Immanuel's video screens. Before the 7 pm concert, at 6:45 pm, there will be a pre-concert talk on Shubert's Winterreise.
All Concert and Speaker events are free and open to the public.

Immanuel is hosting a Christmas Concert by Chicago pianist, Jim Hendricks, this Friday, December 2. The performance begins at 7 pm.
Mr. Hendricks is an accomplished pianist having performed with such greats as the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Della Reese. It will be a beautiful evening filled with music, humor and wit.

Can Thanksgiving be complete without giving thanks to the Giver of all good gifts? Worship with your family either on Wednesday evening at 7 pm or on Thanksgiving Day at 9 am. That will put your Thanksgiving in the proper context and the correct focus. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is hosting its 74th annual Pork Sausage Dinner this Sunday, November 6. Serving will be from 11 am to 6 pm. Drive through is available during those hours as well. Cost of the dinner is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.
Proceeds from the dinner support ministries that include our every Sunday radio broadcast, as well as our youth ministries.
Immanuel's worship services on Pork Sausage Sunday are at 8 and 10:45 am. Brief tours of Immanuel's new sanctuary are also available throughout the day.
